She is a sweet old women and she makes me smile through the whole book. So now its obvious that she is there to help both of the younger wades, even though they don’t know it. She wrote Simon’s POV very effectively, so that one really did feel his blindness and the accompanying vulnerability; it was disconcerting when reading passages from his perspective and not knowing what was around him or what people’s expressions reflected – very well done.
This is a sweet love story that gives you the thrill of attraction between a blind Hero and a genuine Heroine.

She feels awkward around men. The heroine Louisa is so nice and perfect even though her father killed himself due to He had never known until he was blind how much bedfoom sight really told him about a person’s thoughts.
From beginning to end I was fully satisfied, and absolutely adored it!!! I was not disappointed but I don’t think the book reached all the potential it could have gotten to.
I liked Louisa’s compassion and her desire to help people she cares for with their problems and difficulties.
There is nothing wrong with a young woman wanting to have some fun and just be admired. She held her breath as he passed, then grimaced when he paused. I also enjoyed getting a glimpse, although short-lived, of the three Shelby sisters together with their extended families. For Louisa, the attraction she feels for Simon is immediate, with her fascination from years earlier only continuing. And his declaration also comes out rushed and pushed because of a rival’s proposal.
Plus, that entire stuff about how Louisa couldn’t possibly desire a blind man was just bull.
The combination of the characters was done in a great way. Louisa Shelby’s carefree life of elegant balls and beautiful frocks ended gayyle her father died, leaving her penniless.
I can’t recommend it, as I haven’t read it, but I’m sure I’ll pick it up at some point. This is such a light-hearted read, but every element of the story is valid.
